The Volume Buffer is a simple solution interface between a CD player and a power amplifier to provide volume control and a low impedance buffered source to the amplifier, a step up from the simple volume interface. It features a dual FET cascode chip as the active element and a simple support power supply which can be connected to the power amplifier supplies. The PCB is very compact allowing it to be placed inside existing equipment easily, mounting from the panel mounted volume pot.
