The GB150S is a compact power supply module for use with the GB150D power amplifier. It features 28,200uF of supply capacitance comprising 3 paralleled 4,700uF 63V electrolytic capacitors on each +/- supply for lower paralleled ESR and ESL over larger single alternatives. A 6A 1000V discrete bridge rectifier (with 200A surge current) is onboard as well as bleed down resistors, film bypass capacitors and LED support. A 6 way terminal block is provided for the Vs+,Vs- and 4 connections to star ground. The PCB is double sided and through hole plated, with clearly marked component placement guide and connection labelling, and is designed to isolate input side charging spike offset currents from sensitive star ground output points. Corner, isolated 3mm mounting holes are provided.

The module is suited to operation up to +/- 63V for single channel amplifiers up to 200W into 4 or 8 ohms, or dual channel up to 100W into 8 ohms, and is intended to power one GB150D module to full output.
Modules may be operated as satellite RC filtered local supplies by replacing the diode bridges with suitable resistors, to operate independantly from a main supply, providing lowered supply ripple and harmonics and isolation from supply-borne crosstalk.
